A 41-year-old man was fatally shot in the parking lot of Robbies Smokehouse restaurant in Kahnawake on Tuesday, January 20, at around 2:30 p.m.

The victim, Kyle Chad Grawboski, 40, is not a member of the Mohawk community of Kahnawake, the Peacekeepers specified in a press release. He was transported to the hospital before succumbing to his injuries.
According to the Peacekeepers, he was struck by several bullets.
Witnesses and surveillance cameras show that the victim was leaving the restaurant at the time of the attack, which was carried out by two men who fled the scene in a red Honda Civic.
The vehicle was later found torched in Châteauguay. A firearm was also discovered nearby.
The Peacekeepers are being supported in this investigation by the Sûreté du Québec’s major crimes unit.
Police say there is no active threat to the local community.
