(English follows) La police de Châteauguay a une Honda Civic dans sa mire à la suite d’un incendie qui a endommagé un commerce de transfert d’argent. L’aide du public est demandée pour la retrouver.
Selon le service de police, le feu qui s’est déclaré vers 2h du matin au Marché El Recuerdo du boulevard D’Anjou à Châteauguay est «vraisemblablement criminel».

«Tout juste avant le début de l’incendie, un véhicule de marque Honda, modèle Civic 4 portes, des années 2006 à 2011, a quitté les lieux avec trois individus à bord. Ce véhicule suspect a été observé dans le stationnement avant du Marché El Recuerdo, de 1 h 40 à 1 h 45, garé de manière à faire face au boulevard D’Anjou. Le véhicule a ensuite emprunté le boulevard Saint-Joseph les phares éteints, en suivant un autre véhicule qui était déjà sur le boulevard», détaille la police dans un communiqué.
Le même véhicule a aussi été repéré dans le stationnement du Centre régional Châteauguay dans l’heure précédant l’incendie.
Le Service de police lance un appel à tous pour obtenir des informations sur l’automobile et ses occupants. «Plusieurs automobilistes, cyclistes et piétons ont passé par le boulevard D’Anjou à la hauteur de l’incendie dans les heures de l’incident et pourraient avoir observé des éléments importants», mentionne le communiqué.

Chateauguay police have a Honda Civic in their sights following a fire which damaged a money transfer business. The public’s help is being asked to find the car.
According to police, the blaze which broke out at around 2 a.m. at the El Recuerdo market on D’Anjou Blvd. in Chateauguay is ‘’likely criminal.’’
‘’Just before the start of the fire, a four-door Civic model Honda vehicle, of vintage 2006-2011, left the premises with three individuals on board. This suspect vehicle was observed in the parking lot in front of the El Recuerdo market from 1:40 a.m. to 1:45 a.m., parked facing D’Anjou Blvd. The vehicle then took St-Joseph Blvd. with headlights extinguished, followed by another vehicle which was already on the boulevard,’’ the police describe in a communique.
The same vehicle also had been located in the parking lot of the Chateauguay Regional Shopping Centre in the time preceding the blaze.
The police service is launching a call to all in hopes of obtaining information on the car and its occupants. ‘’Several motorists, cyclists and pedestrians passed through D’Anjou Blvd. at the height of the fire during the time of the incident and could have observed some important elements,’’ the communique explains.
