(English follows) La Ville de Châteauguay a attribué un contrat de 78 800$ au Groupe ABS Inc. pour faire la «caractérisation des bâtiments municipaux en matière d’amiante et l’élaboration d’un registre».
Le contrat a été attribué lors de la séance du conseil du 17 septembre. Le maire Pierre-Paul Routhier a expliqué qu’il s’agissait d’une directive gouvernementale obligeant toutes les municipalités «à identifier où il y a de l’amiante dans les bâtiments municipaux».
Contract to identify the buildings with asbestos
The City of Chateauguay has awarded a contract of $78,800 to Groupe ABS Inc. To make the ‘’characterization of the municipal buildings in the matter of asbestos and the elaboration of a register.’’
The contract has been attributed at the council meeting of Sept. 17. Mayor Pierre-Paul Routhier explained that it consisted of a governmental directive obliging all the municipalities ‘’to identify where there is asbestos in the municipal buildings.’’
