Some magnificent quilts embellished the front of a few Chateauguay houses during the Mother’s Day weekend.
Members of the Chateauguay Valley Quilters Guild took advantage of the occasion to show off their creations outdoors. Usually, they present the fruit of their labour together in a hall, but this is evidently not possible this year because of the pandemic.
“The members were invited to display one or several of their works in front of their residence and to visit their district to discover the work of their colleagues,” explained Lucie De Stephano, one of the Quilters Guild members.
She emphasizes that the Quebec Provincial Quilters organization repeated the formula launched by the Chateauguay group, inviting all the guilds in the province to come and be inspired.
