Chateauguay socio-community police agents this fall are checking out car seats for children in a few day-care nurseries located on the territory that includes Beauharnois, Chateauguay, Lery and St. Isidore.
Translation Dan Rosenburg
Specially trained for this task, the police agents are making sure that the seat fits the weight and size of the child, that he or she is well installed in the back seat of the vehicle, and that the child is attached correctly.
Since April 18 avril, the Road Safety Code insists that one prolongs the utilization of the seat until such time as the child measures 145 centimetres (four feet, nine inches) or until he or she reaches the age of 9.
Interested parties can have a car seat checked free of charge by a socio-community agent by phoning for an appointment at 450-698-3207.
