L’entrepreneur en télémarketing Jean-Philippe Thériault portera les couleurs du parti pour le scrutin du 1er octobre.
M. Thériault est résident de Châteauguay depuis 2015. Il dit être passionné d’entrepreneuriat depuis son plus jeune âge. «Je suis aujourd’hui à la tête d’une entreprise de télémarketing comptant plus de 50 employés, répartis entre le Sénégal et le Québec, explique-t-il dans son texte de présentation. Ouvert sur le monde et faisant des affaires ici et en Afrique, je connais bien les défis auxquels un entrepreneur doit faire face, tant au Québec qu’à l’international.»
Le candidat péquiste s’intéresse particulièrement à la cause des immigrants, lui qui partage sa vie avec une immigrante de première génération. «Je crois qu’il faut mieux accueillir nos nouveaux arrivants et faciliter leur intégration en améliorant entre autres les programmes de francisation et en facilitant la reconnaissance de leurs compétences», mentionne-t-il.
Parmi ses autres objectifs de campagne, il entend «travailler à l’amélioration du transport collectif, défendre le français tant au niveau local que national, aider les entrepreneurs à contribuer à une économie forte et prospère». À l’échelle locale, il compte «trouver des solutions pour décontaminer les lagunes de Mercier».
Il adhère au Parti québécois, car il croit «en un état fort, capable d’offrir une éducation gratuite à ses jeunes moins fortunés et des soins de qualités tant à ses ainés qu’à la population en général, capable aussi de maintenir ses infrastructures en bon état, d’assurer un filet social et de garantir un environnement propice à l’épanouissement économique. Un état fort au service des gens d’ici».
An entrepreneur carries PQ colours in Chateauguay
The Parti Quebecois has finally chosen its candidate for Chateauguay county.
Telemarketing entrepreneur Jean-Philippe Thériault will bear the party’s colours for the October 1 provincial vote.
Thériault has been a Chateauguay resident since 2015. He says he has been a passionate entrepreneurship person since his youth. ‘’Today I am at the head of a telemarketing enterprise with more than 50 employees, split between Senegal and Quebec,’’ he explains in his presentation. ‘’Open to the world and doing business here and in Africa, I well know the challenges which an entrepreneur must face, both in Quebec and internationally.’’
The pequiste candidate is particularly interested in the cause of immigrants, since he shares his life with a first-generation immigrant woman. ‘’I believe we must welcome our new arrivals better and facilitate their integration by improving among other things the francization programs and by facilitating the recognition of their competencies,’’ he says.
Among his other campaign objectives, he intends ‘’to work on the improvement of public transport, to defend French, both on the local and national levels, to help entrepreneurs to contribute to a strong and prosperous economy.’’ On the local scale, he counts on ‘’finding solutions to decontaminate the Mercier lagoons.”
He adheres to the Parti Quebecois, because he believes ‘’in a strong state, capable of offering a free education to its less fortunate youth and quality health care, both to its senior citizens and the general population; it is also capable of maintaining its infrastructures in good condition, and of assuring a social safety net, and guaranteeing an environment favourable to economic blooming.
