(English follows) La Ville de Châteauguay invite ses citoyens, commerçants et organismes à lui donner leur avis sur l’avenir du Manoir D’Youville dans l’île Saint-Bernard.
Acquis des Sœurs grises en 2010, le Manoir D’Youville comporte 114 chambres et 9 salles de réunion. La portion «Vieux Manoir» et la Villa Marguerite sont peu ou pas utilisées à l’année, mentionne la municipalité.
Elle demande quelle utilisation du Manoir D’Youville conviendrait pour que les résidents de Châteauguay en profitent ? S’il est «possible de créer un lieu commun permettant de soutenir les activités des organismes culturels, sportifs, sociaux, communautaires, environnementaux et économiques?» Et «quel serait le meilleur projet ou la vocation la plus prometteuse afin de donner une valeur ajoutée à la fonction hôtelière actuelle du Manoir D’Youville?»
L’appel de la Ville vise à guider la réflexion d’un comité mis sur pied pour réfléchir au meilleur usage possible de cette propriété de la municipalité.
Les intéressés doivent formuler leur point de vue dans un texte d’au plus 1000 mots. Ils ont jusqu’au mercredi 14 novembre pour le transmettre par courriel au [email protected].

The City of Chateauguay is inviting its citizens, merchants and community groups to give their opinions on the future of Manoir D’Youville on Ile St. Bernard.
Acquired from the Grey Nuns in 2010, the Manoir D’Youville consists of 114 rooms and nine meeting halls. The ‘’Old Manor’’ portion and the Villa Marguerite are utilized very little or not at all during the course of the year, the municipality discloses.
It asks what use of the Manoir D’Youville would be suitable for Chateauguay residents to benefit from it. Is it ‘’possible to create a common place enabling people to support the activities of cultural, sports, social, community, environmental and economic activities?’’ And ‘’what would be the best project or the most promising vocation in order to give additional value to the current hotel trade function of the Manoir D’Youville.’’
The appeal of the City seeks to guide the reflection of a committee put into motion to think about the best usage possible for this municipality property.
Interested parties must formulate their point of view in a text of less than 1,000 words. They have until Friday, November 16 to transmit it by email to [email protected].
