«Pour les élections municipales 2017, conformément à la Loi sur les élections et référendums, les candidats aux élections ne sont plus autorisés à se trouver sur les lieux de votation pour tendre des poignées de mains aux électeurs, et ce, afin d’éliminer toute possibilité d’influence», rappelle dans un communiqué Me Nancy Poirier, présidente d’élections à Châteauguay.
Celle-ci encourage les électeurs désirant échanger avec les candidats à communiquer avec eux par téléphone, courriel ou via les réseaux sociaux.
Le vote est prévu le dimanche 5 novembre. Il sera aussi possible de faire son choix par anticipation le dimanche 29 octobre.

The vote is scheduled for Sunday, November 5. It will also be possible to make one’s choice at the advance poll on Sunday, October 29.
