(English follows) La Ville de Châteauguay a ajouté quatre terrains jugés malpropres à sa liste de sites à nettoyer.
Ils se situent sur le chemin de la Haute-Rivière, sur la rue Robert Est, Rossini et Saint-Georges, a énuméré le maire Pierre-Paul Routhier pendant la séance du conseil du 10 juillet, sans préciser l’adresse exacte des lieux problématiques.
Un mois plus tôt, le conseil avait approuvé le nettoyage de six autres terrains, dont l’état ne correspondait pas aux critères du règlement «sur la salubrité et la propreté des immeubles et des nuisances qui s’y rapportent». Le maire Routhier avait alors expliqué que cette intervention était possible grâce à de nouveaux pouvoirs donnés aux Villes qui peuvent désormais se doter d’outils pour intervenir dans ce genre de situation. Les frais liés aux nettoyages de ces terrains privés sont facturés aux propriétaires desdits lieux.
Other lots judged ‘’dirty’’ will be cleaned up
The City of Chateauguay has added four parcels of land judged unclean to its list of sites to be cleaned.
They are situated on Chemin de la Haute-Riviere, on Robert Street East, Rossini and St. Georges, enumerated Mayor Pierre-Paul Routhier during the council session of July 10, without specifying the precise addresses of the problematic properties.
One month earlier, council had approved the cleanup of six other lots, whose condition was not corresponding to the criteria of the cleanliness and healthiness bylaw of buildings and the nuisances they bring.’’ Routhier had then explained that this intervention was possible thanks to new powers given to the cities which can from now on endow themselves with the tools to intervene in this type of situation. The expenses linked to the cleanups of these private lots are billed to the landlords of these properties.
