To better satisfy Quebecers’ needs during the COVID-19-related health crisis, the Québec government is temporarily changing the hours and days of admission to certain commercial establishments, which will be in force from April 5 to May 1, 2020, including the Easter holiday.
From Monday up to and including Saturday
Establishments targeted
- Grocery stores and other food stores
- Establishments offering grocery store or drugstore services outside shopping centres
- Drugstores
Changes
- The establishments targeted can extend business hours beyond the legal periods, but only for the sale of:
- food;
- pharmaceutical, hygiene and health products.
- There is no restriction on the number of employees present to ensure smooth operations in the establishments.
All Sundays in April
All commercial establishments must be closed to the public, except:
- Drugstores
- Convenience stores
- Service stations
- Restaurants (drive-through orders, takeout and delivery services)
- Grocery stores (online and telephone orders only, and home delivery)
