The Châteauguay Police force which, in addition to serving the community bearing its name, serves Léry, Beauharnois and Saint-Isidore, reported having received 14 COVID-19-related calls on Saturday and Sunday for which patrollers were dispatched. “Upon the officers’ arrival on site, 4 of those calls were deemed to be founded. Out of the 14 calls, one ticket was issued”, Sargent Jean-Philippe Hurteau informed.
“Given the exceptional weather we had this past weekend, we are very pleased with this outcome,” the spokesperson emphasized. “The vast majority of people are respecting public health guidelines when it comes to social distancing.”
