(English follows) Deux comités portant sur la circulation seront mis en place par la Ville de Châteauguay. Ce, dans le but d’améliorer ou de modifier les règlements concernant des enjeux reliés à la circulation et à la mobilité.
La Ville invite les citoyens intéressés à se joindre aux comités à manifester leur intérêt en soumettant leur candidature avant le 13 janvier 2019, par courriel ([email protected], en mentionnant leur nom, adresse, numéro de téléphone et nombre d’années en tant que résident. Une compensation financière de 35$ par citoyen est prévue par rencontre. Celles-ci auront lieu en moyenne une fois aux six semaines, principalement le jour ou en fin d’après-midi. «Le comité Circulation se penche entre autres sur les enjeux reliés à la vitesse, aux panneaux d’arrêt ou aux feux de circulation, alors que le comité Mobilité durable concerne, par exemple, l’emplacement des stationnements et la configuration des rues et des pistes cyclables», précise la Ville dans un communiqué.
Citizens invited to speak about traffic
Two committees dealing with traffic will be set up by the City of Chateauguay. This is in the goal of improving or modifying the bylaws concerning the stakes linked to traffic and mobility.
The City is inviting interested citizens to join the committees by manifesting their interest and submitting their candidature before January 13, 2019, by email and mentioning their name, address, telephone number and number of years as a Chateauguay resident. A financial compensation of $35 per citizen is planned per meeting. These meetings will be held on the average of once every six weeks, mainly in the day time or at the end of the afternoon. ‘’The traffic committee will huddle among other things over the stakes linked to speeding, stop signs or traffic lights, while the sustainable Mobility committee concerns, for example, the placement of parking lots and configuration of streets and bicycle paths,’’ the City specified in a communiqué.
