(English follows) Alors que le budget annuel dédié à la réparation des routes de Châteauguay tourne depuis les dernières années autour de 1,5 M$, la Ville a choisi de donner «un coup» cette année, en augmentant ce montant.
«La Ville fait dur, il y a énormément de trous. Alors cette année, on veut y donner un coup, on veut mettre 3,5 M$ pour les réparer», a fait savoir le maire Pierre-Paul Routhier lors de la séance du conseil du 21 janvier, avant que les élus adoptent la résolution en ce sens.
A ‘’push’’ to repair potholes
While the annual budget dedicated to the repair of Chateauguay roads has for several years revolved around $1.5 million, the City has chosen to give it ‘’a push’’ this year, by increasing that amount.
‘’The City looks bad; there are an enormous number of potholes. So this year, we want to give it a push; we want to put $3.5 million towards repairing them,” explained Mayor Pierre-Paul Routhier at the City Council meeting of January 21, before the elected officials adopted the resolution.
