La Ville de Châteauguay propose des festivités de Noël réparties sur deux jours en fin de semaine.
Un défilé de nuit est prévu samedi, 9 décembre, en collaboration avec la Ville de Beauharnois. Le joyeux cortège partira de l’église Saint-Joachim vers 18h30. Il empruntera le boulevard D’Anjou puis le boulevard Maple pour terminer sa course dans le secteur de l’Agora citoyenne. Un feu d’artifice illuminera le secteur à compter de 19h45.
Pour l’occasion, certaines artères de la municipalité seront fermées de 17h à 20h30.
Dimanche, 10 décembre, des activités placées sous le thème «Châteauguay, une histoire de Noël» sont prévues de midi à 17h à l’Agora citoyenne, au Centre culturel Vanier et à la Bibliothèque municipale.
Père Noël, lutins, train des Fêtes, hockey bottine, yétis, usine à biscuits et marché des saveurs figurent entre autres au programme.

Night parade
A night parade will animate the streets of Chateauguay on Saturday, Dec. 9 in collaboration with the City of Beauharnois. Allegorical floats, marching bands, emergency vehicles, mascots and other joyful participants will leave the St. Joachim Church parking lot near the Arthur Laberge Bridge at 6:30 p.m. The procession will take D`Anjou Blvd. and then Maple Blvd. to finish its course in the Citizens` Square sector. A fireworks display will follow its arrival at about 7:45 p.m. The public is invited to appreciate the show on the square in front of the Municipal Library.
A Christmas story
A bunch of activities are forecast for December 10 at the Citizens` Square in Chateauguay under the theme of `Chateauguay, a Christmas Story.` Santa Claus, shows, elves making biscuits, a market of flavours, dancers, singing and hot chocolate will notably be part of the holiday program organized by the City, which will be held from noon to 5 p.m.
