The MRC de Roussillon created a phone line dedicated to citizens who have questions about the draft regulation 215, in the objective of putting in place a “wide, open and transparent public consultation process”, reads a press release sent October 16th.

The draft regulation seeks to modify the planning model for the protection of the Châteauguay-Léry wooded area. It would authorize more construction within the affected zone. An information session is being held on October 21st, at 7 pm via roussillon.ca/215.

“The videoconference chosen because of the pandemic doesn’t suit everyone. Furthermore, some people are unable to connect to the Internet for a variety of reasons. The phone line improves access to information only available online. Therefore, we lower barriers to participate in the public consultation”, says the MRC de Roussillon prefect and Mayor of Delson, Christian Ouellette. The number for the phone line is 450 638-1221, extension 215.
