(English follows)Alors que les annonces de candidatures se multiplient depuis plusieurs semaines partout au Québec, les candidats des quatre principaux partis ne sont pas tous connus pour la circonscription de Châteauguay à trois jours du déclenchement de la campagne électorale.
À ce jour, on sait que le député sortant, Pierre Moreau, tentera de se faire réélire sous la bannière libérale pour un quatrième mandat dans la circonscription de Châteauguay.
Sandrine Garcia-McDiarmid, une jeune diplômée en soins infirmiers, représentera les couleurs de Québec solidaire.
Quant au Parti québécois et la Coalition Avenir Québec, aucune annonce officielle n’a été faite jusqu’à maintenant. Le Soleil de Châteauguay a joint les organisations locales des deux partis la semaine dernière. Elles ont affirmé que les candidats étaient choisis et que les annonces devraient être faites dans les prochains jours.
Le comté de Châteauguay inclut la municipalité du même nom ainsi que Léry, Mercier, Saint-Isidore et Kahnawake.
La campagne électorale en vue d’élire le prochain gouvernement provincial sera déclenchée le jeudi 23 août. Le jour du vote aura lieu le lundi 1er octobre.
Two candidates announced
While the announcements of candidatures have been multiplying for several weeks all over Quebec, the candidates of the four main parties are still not all known for the riding of Chateauguay 3 days before the beginning of the electoral campain.
We know that outgoing MNA, Pierre Moreau will try to get re-elected under the Liberal banner for a fourth mandate in the Chateauguay constituency. Sandrine Garcia-McDiarmid, a young nursing care graduate, will represent the colours of Quebec solidaire.
As for the Parti Quebecois and the Coalition Avenir Quebec, no official announcement has been made up to now. Le Soleil de Chateauguay reached the local organizations of those two parties last week. They affirmed that the candidates were chosen and that the announcements should be made in the coming days.
The county of Chateauguay includes the municipality of the same name, as well as Lery, Mercier, St. Isidore and Kahnawake.
