The Chateauguay municipal council has adopted a loan bylaw of $5.8 M with an eye towards renovating part of St. Francis Blvd.
The sector concerned is situated between Salaberry North Blvd. and Des Tulipes street.
The City is notably waiting for authorization from the Environment Ministry in order to proceed. Authorizations are necessary because the works affect the area underneath the road surface, Mayor Pierre-Paul Routhier explained at the council meeting of January 25 when the loan bylaw was adopted.
Jeffries street
Council also adopted at that assembly a loan bylaw of $1.2 M for refitting Jeffries street between St. Francis Blvd. and Cortland street.
