Chateauguay City Council has adopted at his October 21 meeting a loan bylaw of $3.5 million for roadwork repairs on its entire territory in 2020.
An increased budget was announced. ‘’When we got into power here, the budget was $1.5 million which was spent to renovate the streets,’’ said Mayor Pierre-Paul Routhier. ‘‘We increased that to $3.5 million. The city has potholes and cracks. The City has some streets which are really old, and have never been touched in any way. It is time that this was rectified,’’ he noted. (M.T.; Tr: D.R.)
